This course covers the concepts of genetic epidemiology. After completing it, you will have a basic understanding of:

• What constitutes a population
• The concept of the epidemiologic triad
• How disease occurs
• The major causations of disease
• How to analyze data and to recognize and control sources of bias
• The difference between population and family studies and the advantages for each
• The three analytic study designs
